Welcome to our new website. We hope you enjoy our efforts to share the heart of our organization with you in a new and meaningful way. Now, you will be able to see, hear, and engage with us as we feature the stories of our corps members working every day to make a lasting impact on lives’ of students, schools and communities.
We hope you find that cityyear.org now lets you have the full sensory City Year experience. Here are some things you’ll see on our completely redesigned website.
Our photos are the best way to see who we are. In our photos you’ll see our corps members and our partners, all working together to improve student outcomes and help every child reach his or her potential.
Through videos we share stories of our work in action. You can “meet” corps members while they’re hard at work in schools and hear from them about what it means to them to wear their red jacket.
Understanding that sometimes “hearing straight from the source” means more than merely reading a quote, we have peppered audio clips throughout our new website. These sound bites are a quick and easy way to hear about our work and impact in schools and communities.
Our new design gives you clear and easy paths whether you want to go straight to the application, quickly donate, or download a white paper. The path is simply laid out for you so you can easily get the information you’re looking for.
With our new website, it is easy to go right to a specific City Year location. And within each location, you can look up events, see local corps member information, review local impact results, and look for helpful tips on what it would be like to live in that particular city.
We have highlighted the partners who generously support our work and the many ways they partner with us. Take a look at the pages dedicated to Our National Leadership Sponsors and the important role they play in City Year’s work.
We have a National blog, which features regular stories about our work and features the various ways our corps members, targeted interventions and partners are working to overcoming the dropout challenge. Each City Year site also publishes blogs to highlight the impact and stories of City Year and its partners working in their local communities. We’re very excited to show you our new website. Please spend a little time and check it out yourself.
