At the Carl G. Lauro elementary school in Providence students participate in the Build Our Kids Success (BOKS) program, which emphasizes healthy play. Research shows that the combination of stretching, a skill of the week (such as push-ups or squats) and a variety of other fun physical activities in the morning will help students be more academically active during the school day.
